Fir Island Farm Restoration Celebration

Yesterday marked the celebration of the Fir Island Farm habitat restoration in the Skagit Valley. Congratulations to all involved from the DFW, and the Nature Conservancy who worked together on this project. Here’s a snip:

Tidal marsh habitat here is a quarter of what it was historically. The Fir Island Farm restoration of 131 acres alone is projected to increase smolt production by at least 65,000 every year.

An excellent example of the sorts of projects we enthusiastically support here at Tidal Exchange… Kudos WDFW!
