DNR Protects 3400 Acres of Dabob Bay

Outgoing Commissioner of Public Lands, Peter Goldmark, signed an important 11th hour executive — expanding the Dabob Bay protected areas by nearly 3400 Acres.  We welcome the news that the DNR, Tribes, and conservation NGOs all worked together to expand these protected areas, and the important stream/near-shore habitat.  Goldmark’s quote:

With the strong support of local communities, conservation groups, tribes, the U.S. Navy and other partners, we can now preserve these unique natural areas for present and future generations of Washingtonians.

These efforts deserve our enthusiastic support!
