Another good story on the restoration of a small chunk of a small Columbia River tributary. The Columbia Land Trust, mitigation money from BPA, and a good group of folks working to help restore our rivers… A bit on their approach:
Past restoration efforts often focused on spawning habitat, but research now shows that the tidal zones, where juvenile salmon spend time maturing before heading out to sea, are also very important to their survival.
